Important Camp Information

Camp Information:
  • The camp will have a Bedouin Tent which is the communal living/chill space for everyone. This space will be about 30 ft x 40 ft, approx. and will be carpeted with futons, chairs and pillows. There will be a kitchen and large table for everyone to eat at. There will also be an altar in the main tent. And “out back” there will be a shower with an evaporation pool as well as a changing area with chairs, a table, a full length mirror and hooks for clothes and towels. This shower/changing area will be enclosed for your privacy! There will also be a geodesic dome adjacent to the main tent for music and purposes to be determined.
  • For the altar will be in the Bedouin Tent, please bring something for that you would like to contribute.  You will get this back.
  • Please bring any decorative items that you would like to use to decorate the camp (hanging crystals, tapestries, etc.).
  • Plan on setting up ride sharing to make your ride to Burning Man more fun as well as to stay consistent with the “Green Man” theme.
  • Plan your food needs accordingly so that we don’t have too much food going to waste or taking up space.
  • Bring 2 gallons of water per person per day. This will cover your own hydration needs as well as contributions to dish washing, showering water and any other camp needs. Please try to bring water in reusable containers if you can. If you cannot, please at the very least, bring the 2.5 gallon jugs with the spout. Please do not bring 1 gallon jugs.
  • Rebar is essential for staking your tent. Purchase and bring 18” stakes that will be bent (I have tools for bending).
  • Bring your own plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork and spoon for eating. All other kitchen items will be provided, including stove, cooking and serving implements, spices, etc.
  • Bring your own individual and personal hygiene items. For a generic list of items needed click here.
  • Lotions for foot care will be provided, but please bring whatever else you desire in this regard.
  • Dust masks will be provided for the camp (medical type), but please bring whatever dust masks you desire for yourself.
  • Bring instruments for the kirtan and for general musical jams!
  • There will be a system for playing iPods and CDs in the camp, so if you want, bring ‘em.
  • Jed will set up a time for purchasing blinky lights and el wire in mid August.
  • Please plan on having space in your vehicle for trash removal at the end of the event.
  • Please plan on being available for camp break down on the last Monday if you can and you are staying for the Temple Burn.
  • Pendants: Pendants have been ordered with a camp logo and Burning Man art! Each Camp Manifestation member will get one of these when you arrive. There is no additional camp cost for this. Additionally, we have offered up the opportunity for each person to purchase (aside from camp costs) any quantity of these that one would like to use for gifting on the playa or for any other purpose you see fit. The cost will be approximately $2 a piece.  The amounts ordered can be viewed below under question number 7.
  • The cost for each person in Camp Manifestation will be approximately $100.  I will finalize the amount when we get to the playa!
